Cultural information:  "Water Chestnut" is the plant that produces the water chestnuts that we purchase at the grocery store. After your plant flowers it will produce the chestnuts... but don't be tempted to eat them as they are poisonous when raw

The sale of "Water Chestnut" is restricted in temperate areas... as it is an invasive plant. Remove dead or dying foliage and flowers as they appear.
