Cultural
information: "Drumstick Primrose" is
also a rosette forming plant. It grows about three times the size
of the "Marsh Primrose". During early spring it produces
numerous bell shaped purple flowers with a yellow center. Plant in
partial shade in fertile, moist or boggy soils. It prefers peat
moss rich or acidic soils... but any fertile soil will do.
There are two other hybrid cultivars to keep an eye out for.
Alba has white flowers, and 'Rubra' has reddish-purple blossoms.
