Cultural information: "Water Avens" is also known as "Indian Chocolate". It is an upright spreading perennial that produces clusters of bell shaped orange-red flowers. Plant in full sun to light shade in fertile boggy or moist soils. Water Avens 3/4" flowers are good for cutting.

There are several hybrid cultivars that were bred from Guem rival. Keep an eye out for 'Coppertone', 'Lemon Drops', Leonard's Variety', 'Lionel Cox', 'Sigiswang', and 'Tangerine'.
