| Cultural
information: The "Umbrella Plant" looks
similar to Rhubarb. It forms a large clump producing very unusual
white to pink flowers that emerge before the leaves in early spring. Plant
in boggy or moist soil in full sun to partial shade. Darmera
tolerates most soil types well. It is a very hardy and durable
plant that may not be winter hardy in all parts of the state.
