notes: Violet Aster is one of the easier Asters to
identify. Its flowers are scattered in the upper half of the plant
as opposed to being clumped together at the top. Look for Violet
Aster in moist, sunny to lightly shaded areas such as
meadows, or near any water source. This Violet Aster happens to be
growing near my rain gutter downspout.
