Wildflower Field notes: Alpine Sunflower is a real beauty. Its grass like leaves can be found in small scatted clumps producing 6 or more large bright yellow flowers. 

Look for Alpine Sunflower above tree line in meadows, on hillsides, and in boulder fields.
