Wildflower Field notes: Wild Rose is a very common shrub found in the plains to subalpine. They really easy to identify as Wild Rose looks similar to a domesticated rose bush. Its stems are covered with small cactus like thorns. During late summer or early fall Wild Rose produces red fruits called hips, which are claimed to be high in vitamin C. 

Look for Wild Roses along roads, clearings, or slopes in full sun.
