Wildflower Field notes: Prickly Poppy is one of my favorite wildflowers. If one takes the time to really look at the plant you'd find it has very attractive foliage as well as large beautiful white flowers with a bright yellow eye.

Prickly Poppy is very easy to find and identify. Them seem to grow in large groups scattered across a field. Look for Prickly Poppy in any dry, sunny area in the plains or foothills.
