| Wildflower
Field notes: Prairie Evening Primrose is a common wildflower
in the plains. When their flowers first emerge they are pure
white. As the flowers mature they begin to turn light pink... like
the pictured plant.
Look for Prairie Evening Primrose in dry,
sunny and sandy areas such as open fields, slopes, and along
roadways.
