Wildflower Field notes: Blue Flax is quite common and very easy to find. It prefers dry locations along road sides, slopes and clearings. Blue Flax is very drought tolerant which makes it a good candidate for low maintenance wildflower gardens. 

Deer and Elk generally won't browse on Blue Flax.
