Wildflower Field notes: Annual Sunflower is the common Sunflower that you see growing along the sides of nearly any highway. When the seeds ripen it is a favorite food of many birds including the common Dove. 

Look for Annual Sunflower along roadways, on hills, and in fields or meadows.
