Wildflower Field notes: Scarlet Paintbrush is well known to most of us as the Indian Paintbrush. It is very common and easy to locate on nearly any drive thru the mountains. Look for it in meadows, sagebrush flats, along hillsides, and in clearings of pine or aspen forests. Scarlet Paintbrush makes a great addition to the wildflower garden. Your local Garden Center should have pre-started plants available during the spring planting season.
