Field notes: This Mariposa Lily was found growing on the
shoreline of Williams Fork Reservoir. The reservoir was filling
and by the end of the day the
entire plant was submerged.
Mariposa Lily is very common and easy
to find.
Look for Mariposa Lilies in dry sunny meadows, sagebrush flats,
forest clearings, and along hillsides.
