"Eggplant Black Beauty" is a Ferry Morse seed. "Black Beauty" grows well in most areas. It produces large, glossy oblong Eggplants with deep purple skin. The large spreading plants are capable of producing 6 to 12 fruits on each plant.

The Bed: Add a fresh layer of rich compost to the top soil, then till or spade the bed to loosen the soil and work in the compost. Rake level.

How to Grow: Eggplant needs to be started from transplants either started indoors 10 weeks before planting or purchased at your local garden center.

Space transplants 18" - 24" apart in well drained soil. Rows should be spaced 24" to 36" apart. Keep the soil moist but never soggy. Mulching Eggplant is very beneficial as it helps to retain moisture and keep the soil at an even temperature.

Harvesting: When the fruit is plump and firm cut the fruit from the stem. Picking all fruits when ripe helps to increase yields.

Available Hybrids - Cultivars: Agora 68 days, Bambino 70 days, and Dusky 80 days.
