Cultivation:
Plant in full sun in well drained soil. "Goldenrod"
adapts to most soil types and tolerates drought well. Space new
container grown plants 24" apart. Prefers
sandy soils. Spent flowers heads should be removed to prevent
spread via re-seeding. Flowers are excellent for cutting and attracting butterflies.
They also dry well for dried arrangements.
Propagation:
Purchase pre-started plants at your local Garden Center. Once
established plants can be divided in spring or fall.
Potential pests ~ diseases:
Powdery mildew. |
