Cultivation:
Plant in full sun in well drained soil. Tolerates most soil types
and drought well. Space new container grown plants 8" - 12"
apart. Can be grown in containers. Great for rock gardens.
The foliage of "Coral Carpet Sedum" turns reddish during the winter.
Propagation:
Seed can be started during fall in a cold frame or greenhouse and
held over the winter for planting the following spring. For much
quicker growth... purchase pre-started plants at your local Garden
Center. Once established, plants can be divided in spring. Some
varieties can be propagated by laying the jelly bean like leaves
on the soil. The leaves will root and start new plants.
Potential pests ~ diseases:
Rare. Rabbits may nibble on the plant. |
