Cultivation:
Plant in full sun to light shade in well drained soil. Prefers
slightly alkaline soil types. The "Encrusted Saxifrage" dislikes
having wet feet while dormant. Grows well in containers. Excellent
rock garden plant. Flowers are good for cutting.
Propagation:
Seed needs to be planted in a cold frame or greenhouse in the fall
and held over the winter. Something most of us can't do... so your
best bet is to purchase pre-started plants at your local Garden
Center. Rosettes can be divided late spring to early summer.
Potential pests ~ diseases:
Aphids, slugs or spider mites |
