Perennial Cultivation: Little Pickles Ice plant derives its common name from its small "pickle" like shaped leaves. Little Pickles is a small succulent like perennial. From late May thru August this little groundcover produces small daisy like yellow flowers. It may be marginally hardy in some areas.

Plant Little Pickles Ice plant in full sun in fertile well drained soil. It prefers sandy soil types especially during the winter as Little Pickles dislikes having wet feet while dormant. It is very drought tolerant.

Little Pickles was originally collected in South Africa and introduced to gardeners by the Denver Botanic Gardens. The flowers only open if the sun is shining. Little Pickles is popular in rock gardens or succulent gardens.
