Perennial Cultivation: Oregano Herrenhausen is a hybrid Oregano that produces blossoms a bit larger than common Oregano. Its fragrant flowers are excellent for cutting and drying.

For optimum growth plant Oregano Herrenhausen in full sun in fertile well drained soil. It tolerates poor soils and short periods of drought well. Oregano 'Herrenhausen' is very fragrant, but not a good choice to use as a flavoring spice. This clump forming perennial grows equally well in mixed containers or beds.

Propagation:
Seed can be started in a cold frame or greenhouse in early spring, then moved outdoors after danger of frost has passed. For faster growth purchase pre-started Oregano Herrenhausen plants at your local Garden Center. Space new container grown plants 18" to 24" apart depending on how quickly your want the area to fill in. Once established, plants can be divided in spring.

Potential pests ~ diseases:
Aphids or spider mites.
