Perennial Cultivation: Shepard's Crook derived its common name by the "crook" in the upper part of the flower spike. Its beautiful, showy white bottle brush shaped flower spikes generally appear mid to late summer.

Plant Sheperd's in any location in well drained soil. It prefers some direct sunshine for best foliage and flower growth. Shepard's Crook adapts to most soil types well. It can be planted along side ponds, streams or water features. This fast growing perennial can be some what invasive and quickly take over its neighboring plants.

Lysimachia flowers are commercially grown for the floral trade and excellent for use as cut flowers.

Propagation:
Lysimachia seed can be sown in a cold frame or greenhouse in early spring, or seed can be planted directly in the ground after danger of hard frost has passed. For faster growth and flowering purchase pre-started plants at your local Garden Center. Once Shepard's Crook becomes established plants can be dug and divided in spring or late summer.
