Perennial
Cultivation:
Plant Blood Red Rose Campion in full sun to light shade in well drained soil.
It tolerates
most soil types and short periods of drought very well. Removing spent
flowers helps to promote new flower growth throughout the season.
Blood Red Rose Campion flowers are excellent for
cutting.
Propagation:
Seed can be started in a cold frame or greenhouse in early spring
and moved outdoors after danger of frost has passed. For a much quicker
showing of flowers purchase pre-started Rose Campion plants at your local Garden
Center. Once established the plants may be dug and divided in spring.
Potential pests ~ diseases:
Rare. |
