Perennial Cultivation: Plant Sneezeweed in full sun in fertile well drained soil. It tolerates drought well. Space new container grown plants 24" - 36" apart. Deadhead to promote new flower growth. 

"Helen's Flower" attracts butterflies. It is excellent as a cut flower for fresh floral arrangements. Helenium autumnale is a native Colorado plant.

Propagation:
Sneezeweed seed can be started in a cold frame or greenhouse in early spring, then moved outdoors after danger of frost has passed. For a quicker show of color purchase pre-started plants at your local Garden Center or greenhouse. Once established, plants can be divided in spring.
