Globe Thistle
Perennial Cultivation: Plant Globe Thistle in full sun in well drained soil. Globe Thistle actually prefers to be grown in poor soils. Space new container grown Echinops plants 24" apart. Globe Thistle is a prolific re-seeder that is not invasive. 

Deadhead after flowering to help prevent the plant from spreading. Globe Thistle flowers attract butterflies and are excellent for either fresh or dried floral arrangements.

Propagation:
Globe Thistle seed is easy to germinate. Plant the seed directly in the ground. Once the Echinops plants have become established divide plants in early spring.
