Growing Perennials in
Cold Climates: An Excellent guide for cultivating perennials! Reader review: I've bought and borrowed numerous books regarding perennials.
None has been so complete and well illustrated. Each plant species
has varieties listed as well as planting, mulching, pruning,
dividing techniques and advice. As an avid perennial gardener, I
can't recommend this book highly enough. Kudos to the authors!
Artimage's Garden
Perennials: A Color Encyclopedia
It could be a coffee table book, but there is so much great
information so eloquently presented with humor that you love reading
this book at any time. The information is just superb. I remember
reading about hardy lobelias and being absolutely enthralled about
how "the hummingbirds will come." There is no doubt that
Alan Armitage is a fabulous writer, and this is a book you have to
own.
Colorado Gardner's Guide: Written by talk show hosts John & Jerry Cretti Reader review:
This fabulous book lives up to its subtitle,-
it truly does tell you what, where, when, how and why to garden in
Colorado. It's written by a Colorado native, which is helpful to a
"flatlander" like myself who is trying to garden in this
challenging climate. This is by far the most helpful gardening book
we've bought!
Colorado Month-to-Month
Gardening: A great guide for the beginner or newcomer! Reader review: This is THE book if you want your garden to bloom here on the
high plains and mountains of Colorado. Being from England I had to
throw all my old practices out of the window and start anew. This
book helped enormously! I'm already looking forward to great
tomatoes next year.
