Perennial Cultivation: Plant Blue Wild Indigo in full sun to partial shade in well worked fertile soil. Indigo flowers are excellent for cutting. Some say to deadhead the plant after flowering, but if seed pods are left to mature... the curly black pods can be used in dried arrangements.

Propagation:
Blue Indigo seed can be started in a cold frame or greenhouse in early spring and moved outdoors after danger of frost has passed. For a quicker showing... purchase pre-started plants at your local Garden Center. Established plants may be divided in early spring.
