Trying times for Lawn Care

Trying times for Turf Grass along Colorado's Front Range

With the impending drought and inevitable watering restrictions... what can one do to lessen the effects of drought stress... and make the best of the water that we have available?

First... don't neglect the nutritional needs of your lawn!
Nutrient deficient turf is more susceptible to drought injury. However, the source of nitrogen makes a huge difference. Most turf fertilizers contain either all fast release nitrogen... or a blend of fast and slow release products. You may have noticed, after your or your lawn care company fertilized the lawn... that it grows like wild fire for a week to two... then slows down. This huge flush of tender, succulent growth requires massive amount of water to sustain! If the water is not there... chances are good that the fertilizer may burn the lawn. News Flash... water restrictions!

There is a fantastic fertilizer product on the market that addresses this issue!
We have switched our entire residential and commercial lawn care program to a product called...Meister. Meister is a programmedMeister Lawn Food release fertilizer. The nitrogen particles are coated with a polymer that breaks down slowly over time. It literally spoon-feeds the turf... all season without causing water hungry flushes of growth. Steady... constant growth also reduces clipping and encourages strong root growth. A strong, healthy root system also helps to reduce drought stress. Because of the programmed release properties of Meister... it does not burn the grass, and when it's applied... you don't have to rush out and water it in. The lawns entire year of nutrients are applied in a single application!
It's an ideal product... for use during water restrictions!

Meister
is only available thru Lawn Care Professionals. For more information on Meister Lawn Care... Contact Jones Tree & Lawn Care at: 303-431-8132 or visit their site
