High Altitude Deciduous Trees

Those of us that live in the mountains are blessed with an abundance of native evergreen trees. Other than Aspen trees... we have very few naturally occurring deciduous trees. Did you know that it is possible to grow apples in the mountains? If you're 8500 feet or less you can. Just down the road from my home is a wild... volunteer Apple tree that produces green apples every year.
