Herbs Cultural information: "Yarrow" grows easily from seed... but for quicker results purchase pre-planted starts from your local Garden Center. They will have the old fashion yellow Yarrow as well as several new hybrid varieties available.

Plant Yarrow in full sun in fertile well drained soil. Yarrow will tolerate light shade, but bloom frequency may be reduced. Space newly purchased container grown plants 18" to 24" apart.

All varieties of Yarrow are excellent for attracting Butterflies.

Harvesting & Storage: The flowers and leaves of Yarrow can be dried. Cut bunches and hang in a warm dry and dark location, or strip the leaves and/or flowers and lay in a single layer on paper or a screen to dry. Once dried store in an tightly closing container.
