Herbs Cultural information: "Garden Thyme" can be grown from seed, but must be started indoors. For better results purchase pre-started plants from your local Garden Center. 

Plant Common Garden Thyme in full sun to partial shade in fertile well drained soil. Space transplants 6" to 12" apart. Once established Common Garden Thyme can be dug and divided during spring.

Harvesting & Storage: "Common Garden Thyme" can be harvested in small amounts anytime before the flowers open. 

The entire plant can be cut and hung in a warm dry location for drying... or the leaves may be removed and dried on a screen. Once dry, store the leaves in an airtight container.
