Herbs Cultural information: "Kinniknick" is a native plant that can be found in our Colorado  Rocky Mountains.

Kinnikinick is very difficult to grow in the Denver metro area. There are a couple of hybrid varieties that are easier to cultivate than the native species. The local garden center or greenhouse may have 'Big Bear' or "Massachusetts' available.

Kinnikinick leaves and berries could be collected from native wild plants on private property.

Uses: Medicinal and Ornamental
