Several hybrid species of  Solidago are available at your local Garden Center or greenhouse in the spring. "Goldenrod" grows best in average to poor soil conditions, which helps to control its height.

Harvesting & Storage: Harvest Goldenrod plants while it is blooming. Immediately lay the leaves out in a single layer for drying to prevent mold growth. Once dry store in any tightly sealed container.
