Sow seed on 18" to 24" centers after danger of frost has past. For quicker growth purchase pre-started plants from your local Garden Center or greenhouse using the same spacing as sowing seed. Purple Cone Flower can be a prolific self seeder.

Echinacea flowers are excellent for cutting and attracting butterflies.

Harvesting & Storage: Harvest roots after the plant has been exposed to several hard frosts. Dry roots indoors in a warm, dry dark area. Place dried roots in an air tight container.
