Herbs Cultural information: Anise Hyssop seed can be planted directly in the ground after danger of hard frost has passed. For quicker growth purchase pre-started plants at your local Garden Center.

"Anise Hyssop" has a strong licorice scent and flavor. The lavender flower spikes are good for cutting and attracting butterflies. "Anise Hyssop" also grows well in containers. Bring containers indoors to a sunny location before first frost to keep as a houseplant.

Harvesting & Storage: Anise Hyssop seed may be harvested as soon as the flower heads are ripe, but before they have opened. Place the flower heads on a white towel or paper to dry, in a sunny warm area. Once dried store seed in a tightly sealed container.
