"Big Blue Lirope" prefers to be planted in loose,
light soil that is fertile and well drained. This thick leaved
grass can be grown in
full sun, partial sun or total shade.
Space new container grown
plants 8" - 12" apart. Big Blue Liriope should be
considered an annual grass as it is not winter hardy in Colorado.
It is easy to grow and can be
brought indoors and kept as a houseplant during the winter. It
grows
great in containers and can often be found growing shopping mall
planters.
Propagation: Purchase pre-started plants from your
local Garden Center or greenhouse. Plants can be divided or dug and placed in
containers easily.
