Ornamental Grasses Cultivation: Plant Blue Oatgrass in well drained soil in full sun. It thrives in poor soils and drought quite well. Blue Oatgrass is a good choice for mountain homes up to 8500 foot.

Remove old growth in early spring to help promote plant vigor.

Propagation:
Blue Oatgrass seeds can be sown after danger of frost has passed. For much quicker growth purchase pre-started plants at your local Garden Center. Once the grass has become established, it can be divided in the spring.
