Houseplant Cultural information: Philodendron Autumn is a splendid new hybrid Philodendron. The new leaves emerge a lustrous copper-bronze fading to dark glossy olive when mature.

Place Philodendron 'Autumn' in bright filtered indirect light to maintain its vivid coloration. If the plant is placed in to low of lighting the new foliage will develop olive green instead of coppery-bronze. East , filtered south, or west windows should do nicely. Excessive heat can burn and curl the leaves. Keep hybrid Philodendrons away from cold drafts.

Check Philodendron Autumn for watering a couple of times per week until you become familiar with the plants needs. Allow the surface soil to dry down about 1/2" on small plants and 1" or so on larger plants before watering. Apply water all the way around the plant allowing some water to run from the drainage holes. Remove any excess water from the drip tray within a couple of hours to help prevent root rot.

Feed Philodendron Autumn monthly when actively growing with Peter's Houseplant Special. Feed quarterly if inactive.

It is extremely difficult to propagate hybrid Philodendrons and is not recommended. Some may be patented varieties and illegal to propagate.

Common houseplant pests can include: Aphids or Foliar Mealy bug.

Philodendron 'Autumn' and other hybrid Philodendrons are generally available in 6" and 8" containers at your local greenhouse or garden center.
