Houseplant Cultural information: Hibiscus are very popular here in Colorado during the spring and summer for use outdoors on the patio.

Used indoors: Hibiscus require a minimum of one half day of direct sunshine for proper growth and flower development. If you look at the pictured plant closely... you will notice that it has just reached it's wilting point, the soil on the surface of the pot is light in color indicating that it's time for water. Your plant will always let you know visually... when it needs a drink. Water your Hibiscus thoroughly allowing water to run thru the drain holes. Feed monthly during the growing season... bi monthly during the winter. Propagation via stem cuttings is difficult.

Used outdoors: After a short acclamation period... your Hibiscus should bloom nearly the entire summer. You can place your plant in full sun or partial sun. Check for water daily... outdoors your plant can use a tremendous amount of water. Thoroughly soak your plant with each watering. Feed monthly while outdoors and don't forget to bring your plant indoors before the first frost.

Hibiscus are widely available during the spring in a wide array of colors. There's many forms available to... bushes, braids, trees, and spirals in a size, shape, and color to meet any need.
