information: Gardenia's are a beautiful small plant
that can reward their keeper with very fragrant flowers. Their
flowers take their sweet time to open and only last a day or two.
Gardenias are some what difficult to keep. If your good with
plants... you can grow a Gardenia. If your plant skills are a
little weak, you may have a hard time with your plant. In which
case treat your Gardenia as you would your Poinsettia... enjoy
with while it's blooming and then discard it.
Place your Gardenia in bright filtered light. Use a pebble tray
to increase the humidity near your plant. Multiple daily mistings
are a plus in Colorado's dry climate. Feed monthly with Miracle
Grow Mir-Acid, available from your local garden center. Gardenia's
are a seasonal plant that is usually available from late November
to Mother's Day. They can be found in 4" pots thru 10"
containers.
