Cultural
information: The Ficus family in now a wide and diverse
group of plants. Using modern technology, plant scientists have
created many new hybrid varieties of Ficus, which you can find in
our site. The pictured plant... Ficus Benjamina was the original
introduction for interior use. They are a bit finicky in their
care. They require direct sunshine for at least one half day to
retain their inner foliage. If placed near a wall... rotate the
plant. Water with tepid water and keep from cold or hot drafts.
When you purchase a new Ficus, we highly recommend buying a small
bag of Gordon's Earth Worm Castings and applying it to the top of
the soil. Depending on the size of Ficus check for water weekly...
only allowing the top two inches of soil to dry down. Do not let
the plant sit in water. Ficus are available in many forms... bush,
standard trees, several versions of braids, grown on rocks and
knots. To learn more about Ficus... look
