Houseplant Cultural information: The "Council Tree" is one of the easier and most forgiving Ficus to grow. To maintain the your plants brightly variegated appearance... place your plant in an area with direct sunshine or bright filtered light. Check for water twice weekly until you understand your plants water needs. Water thoroughly until a small amount of water runs into the drip tray... then allow the soil surface to dry again before re-watering. If your Ficus Altissima is actively growing... feed it monthly, if it's resting... don't feed it.

We have only seen the "Council Tree" available in tree form, also know as a standard. This plant is hard to find... but your local garden center should be able to special order one for you if they don't have it in stock.
Propagation is possible by air-layering.
