Cultural
information: Aglaonema 'Cecilia' is one of the
larger varieties of the Chinese Evergreen in today's houseplant
industry. Cecilia has large leaves that are held up-right by heavy stems.
Aglaonema Cecilia is pretty easy to grow providing the plant
receives enough light and the right amount of water. If the area
you want to keep your Cecilia in has enough natural light to
comfortably read in, then there is enough light for your Cecilia,
or any other Aglaonema.
Allow the plant to dry down to just
before the wilting point. As you've lived with your
Cecilia you'll soon discover what its wilting point is, and then give the plant a good drink with tepid
water. Water until you see the first sign of water coming from the
drain holes. Be sure to water all the way around the plant, not
just one side.
All Aglaonema varieties dislike cold drafts. Feed monthly if
your Cecelia is actively growing, feed quarterly when not growing.
Propagation in dry climates is very difficult.
Common houseplant pests include: Foliar Mealy bug.
Aglaonema 'Cecilia' is available in 8" pots thru
14" specimen plants.
