Cultural
information: The "Cineraria" family of indoor
flowering house plants is quite large. Today we have many wonderful
hybrid Cineraria plants in nearly every color of the rainbow in both sold
and bi-color flower types.
Cinerarias are used as a temporary indoor flowering house
plant. With this in mind you may place it any where in the home or office. Avoid
areas of excessive heat as it will speed up the plants natural
processes and bloom out quicker. Check your Cineraria
for water every two or three days until you become familiar with
its water requirements. Your plant will not need any fertilizer
during its stay indoors. When your plant becomes unsightly
just discard it and replace it with a new flowering house plant.
Your local Floral Shop or Garden Center will have a good
selection of Cineraria in 4" and 6"
containers.
