General Tropical Flower Care: Keep the water in the vase of your Mokara Orchd fresh. Replace the water every 3 days with warm water keeping the water level near the top of the vase.

Re-cut 1/4" from the base of each Mokara Orchid stem under water using a sharp knife with each water change. Remove any flowers that may become submerged after re-cutting.

Variety note: There are many varieties of these beautiful Mokara orchids available in several vibrant colors. They can be found with single color blossoms as well as freckled flowers. When you look at the flower closely it appears that it is smiling at you, hence the common name Smile orchid. Mokara orchids are usually a short bunch measuring 18" or less. They are generally sold as a 5 or 10 stem bunches.

Add a commercial floral preservative such as AquaPlus or FloraLife to the vase that contains your Mokara Orchid with each water change. Floral preservative helps to prevent bacteria growth and feeds your Mokara Orchid flowers helping to insure a longer vase life.

If you run out of commercial flower preservative you can make your own fresh cut flower food mix 1/2 teaspoon of table sugar to a quart of cold water... mixing thoroughly.
