General Cut Flower Care: Keep the water in the vase of your Kangaroo Paw fresh. Replace the water every 3rd day with cold water keeping the water level near the top of the vase. Re-cut 1/2" from the base of each Kangaroo Paw stem under water using a sharp knife with each water change.

Variety note: Kangaroo Paw is available nearly year round in shades shade of burgundy, red, green and yellow. Bunches can measure 24" to 30" or more in length with 5 to 10 stems per bunch. The velvety "feet" like flower buds seem or open randomly throughout the bunch revealing the Kangaroo Paws very interesting small greenish flowers.

Add a commercial floral preservative such as AquaPlus or FloraLife to the vase that contains your Kangaroo Paw with each water change. Floral preservative helps to prevent bacteria growth and supplies your Kangaroo Paw flowers with required nutrients helping to insure a longer vase life.

If you run out of commercial flower preservative you can make your own fresh cut flower food mix 1/2 teaspoon of table sugar to a quart of cold water... mixing thoroughly.
