General Tropical Cut Flower Care: Keep the water in the vase of your "Raspberry Frost Banksia" fresh. Replace the water every 3 days with cold water keeping the water level near the top of the vase. Re-cut 1/2" from the base of each stem under water using a sharp knife with each water change. Remove any foliage that may become submerged after re-cutting to avoid the vase water from being contaminated with bacteria.

Variety note: Raspberry Frost Banksia is native to western Australia. It grows on large trees that can reach 50 foot in height. Farmers and ranchers that have Banksia trees growing on their property to supplement their annual income by allowing flower exporters to harvest the in-demand Banksia flowers from their trees. Raspberry Frost Banksia dries well and can be recycled into a dried arrangements. All Banksia are sold by the stem.

Add a commercial floral preservative such as AquaPlus or FloraLife to the vase that contains your "Raspberry Frost Banksia" with each water change. Floral preservative helps to prevent bacteria growth and feeds your tropical flowers insuring a longer vase life. To make your own cut flower food mix 1/2 teaspoon of table sugar to a quart of cold water... mixing thoroughly.
