General Cut Flower Care: Keep the water in the vase of your Agapanthus fresh. Replace the water every 3 days with cold water... keeping the water level near the top of the vase. Re-cut 1/2" from the base of each Lily of the Nile stem under water using a sharp knife with each water change to avoid bacteria growth.

Variety note: Agapanthus is available nearly year round with occasional breaks in supply on and off throughout the year. Agapanthus is available in dark blue, light blue and white. Bunches measure 30" to 36" or more in length with 5 or 10 stems per bunch. The stems are quite thick and easy to work with. Spent Lily of the Nile flowers can be removed as new flowers open.

Add a commercial floral preservative such as AquaPlus or FloraLife to the vase that contains your Agapanthus with each water change. Floral preservative helps to prevent bacteria growth and feeds your flowers insuring a longer vase life. To make your own cut flower food mix 1/2 teaspoon of table sugar to a quart of cold water... mixing thoroughly.
