Instructions for installing your PDA book

There are several ways to move Western Wildflowers to your Windows based PDA.

One common method is to use your ActiveSync software that came with your PDA. Please refer to your ActiveSync software manual for your specific instructions.

I used my picture card reader to move Western Wildflowers to my PDA. Here's how I did it.

1. After downloading the Western Wildflowers zip file, un-zip the file using WinZip or another zip utility.

2. Drag the main Western Wildflowers folder to your Desktop.

3. Insert a Compact Flash or Secure Digital card into your card reader with 6MB of free space.
If you don't have a blank card, just borrow the card from your digital camera. Be sure to re-format the card after you put it back in your digital camera.

4. Next open My Computer to see your list of drives.

5. Drag and Drop the Western Wildflowers main folder from your Desktop to your picture card readers drive letter in My Computer.
Please allow plenty of time for your computer to write Western Wildflowers to your card reader. Even though the status bar may have indicated that the file has been transferred, give the system a few more minutes to complete the transfer.

6. Next delete Western Wildflowers from your Desktop after transfer to your card reader.
Double left click your card readers drive letter to confirm Western Wildflowers is in fact on the card before deleting the file from your Desktop.

7. Remove the Compact Flash or Secure Digital card from your card reader and insert the card into the proper slot of your PDA.

Western Wildflowers may be permanently stored on the CF/SD card, or stored on your PDA's Built-in storage.

4. Tap and hold the Western Wildflowers main folder and select cut.

5. Navigate back to My Device and tap Built-in Storage.

6. Pull the slide bar (if present) to an empty space at the bottom of the list.

7. Tap and hold the empty space and select paste.
It may take your PDA several minutes to paste the file. This is normal.

Western Wildflowers has now been placed in your Built-in Storage.
