Cultivation: The 'Quartz' series of Verbena is an excellent garden performer. The Quartz series has a spreading, mounded growth habit and hold their flowers well above the foliage. 'Polka Dot Mix' has White-eyed blooms of Red, Violet, Rose Pink shades, Lavender Blue, plus a pure White.

'Quartz Burgundy" won the 1999 All-America Selection and was the Fleuroselect Gold Medal Winner. The brightly colored flowers of Verbena are excellent for attracting Butterflies.

Plant Verbena Quartz Mix in full sun to light shade in fertile well drained soil either in beds or containers. Space plants 8" - 12" apart. Keep the soil moderately moist. Try to avoid overhead watering to help prevent occurrences of powdery mildew. Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer.

Available colors: Blue (the only Blue Verbena), Burgundy, Rose Scarlet, White, Polka Dot Mix, and Quartz Mix.

Potential pests ~ diseases: Aphids or whiteflies.
