Cultivation: 'Merlot Mix' is smaller and more compact than other Verbena's. Its still a spreading Verbena that's excellent for mixed containers or hanging baskets. Merlot mix is only available in a designer mix of lavender and burgundy shades, splashed with white. 

The brightly colored flowers of Verbena are excellent for attracting Butterflies.

Plant Verbena Merlot Mix in full sun to light shade in fertile well drained soil either in beds or containers. Space plants 10" - 12" apart. Keep the soil moderately moist. Try to avoid overhead watering to help prevent occurrences of powdery mildew. Feed monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer.

Potential pests ~ diseases: Aphids or whiteflies.
