Cultivation: 'Summer Wave™ Amethyst' is another fine selection from the Proven Winners line. Torenia is easy to grow... a great choice for beginners. Plant them in beds or containers. The Snapdragon like flowers are produced in abundance all season long right up to first frost. Torenia is quite heat tolerant, and is cold hardy to 35 degrees.

Plant Torenia Summer Wave Amethyst in partial shade in fertile well drained soil. Space plants 8" to 10" apart. Keep their soil moist but never soggy. Fertilize plants in beds monthly with a balanced liquid fertilizer, feed container plants every two weeks. Torenia can be pruned to help maintain a compact shape.
